On 27 March 2003, S&T and the INDONESIAN INTELLECTUAL
PROPERTY SOCIETY (IIPS) jointly held a one-day seminar entitled
"Intellectual Property Compliance in repect of the
Implementation of Good Corporate Governance" which
was supported by, amongst others: the Indonesian Public
Listed Companies Association, Microsoft, Telkomsel and Trust
Magazine.
The seminar was attended by a number of IP practitioners,
associations representatives and company. The event was
officialy opened by Mr. Bambang Kesowo, the Secretary of
State.
The first speaker, Mr. Robinson Simbolon (the Head of Law
and Legal Aid Division of the Capital Market Supervisory
Board (BAPPEPAM)) delivered a presentation called "the
Implication of IP regulations for Public Listed Companies".
Mr. Justi Kusumah also delivered a presentation on copyright
in computer programs which subsequently followed by a presentation
by Mr. Andrew McBean (the President Director of PT Microsoft
Indonesia) regarding the management of IP Rights in relation
to computer program by Public Listed companies.
